Icon resin infiltration is an advanced treatment method that allows us to administer conservative, high-quality dental treatments with your comfort in mind.

Icon resin infiltration is a minimally invasive treatment that prevents cavities before they cause damage to your teeth and without the need for drilling or anesthesia. When cavities start to develop, they look like white patches on the teeth or show as a small shadow on a digital x-ray. If we identify a cavity in this early stage, we use the Icon system to stop the cavity from progressing and causing damage to the tooth. The highly fluid resin is put in a handheld applicator to penetrate the damaged enamel and block further decay from progressing. Damaged enamel is porous allowing the resin to easily be absorbed and strengthen the tooth.

This procedure dramatically lowers your chance of developing larger cavities in the treatment area over time and stops the progression of tooth decay before it causes any issues that significantly affect your oral health. No drilling or numbing is even required for this treatment!
